What Is The Best Steak For Kabobs?
The best steak for kabobs ideally is tenderloin, sirloin or filet mignon. Most importantly choosing a lean steak is great and the healthiest option.
Steak and beef is a great source of Iron. Beef is also a good source of protein, zinc, selenium and several B vitamins.
Ingredients For Steak Kabobs
For this steak kabob recipe you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 pound lean sirloin steak
- 2-3 cups of your favorite vegetables
- I recommend: Bell Peppers, Zuchinni and Red Onions
- 12 Skewers.
Steak Kabob Marinade Ingredients
The one thing that make kabobs super tasty is the steak kabob marinade. Here are the ingredients you will need for this delicious Kabob marinade sauce.
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons spicy mustard
- 1 tablespoon pink Himalayan salt
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
We add only 1SP per serving for the marinade as not all is eaten
Making The Steak Marinade
Combine all the sauce ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk thoroughly and divide in half.
Add the beef to one half of the marinade and place in fridge for 2 hours.
Cut your vegetables into 1" squares/cubes and add the remainder of the marinade.
Place in fridge for 1 hour.
How To Cook Steak Kabobs
Cooking Steak Kabobs is super simple and easy. You have several options from using the conventional oven, a bbq or the ever so popular air fryer.
Today we are using the air fryer to cook for our steak kabobs recipe
Cooking Your Kabobs
Take the beef and vegetables from the fridge and grab your skewers.
If you are using wooden skewers, soak in water for 1 minutes to prevent them from burning during the cooking process.
Slide your beef and vegetables onto your skewers. This recipe makes 12 Kabobs.
4 Weight Watchers Points Each
Preheat Air Fryer to 350 for 2 minutes.
Place the kabobs in your air fryer, keeping enough space between them to allow the air to flow freely around them.
Cook for 4-5 minutes.
Turn and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Check beef and cook for a further 2-3 minutes for medium rare or 5 minutes for well done.
Remove from Air Fryer with tongs and enjoy!
Are AirFryers Healthy?
The answer to this question is a big fat yes. Air fryers are super healthy as you don't need to drench your food in oil or fat to cook them.
Using an air fryer to cook your steak and vegetable kabobs is a great option and you can simply turn the button on and get on with another task as your food cooks evenly and perfectly in the air fryer.
